Overview
Inboxes define which email accounts Go Autonomous monitors for incoming requests. Each inbox connects to an email account (via your Microsoft connector) and can be configured with folders, areas, and intent mappings to control how requests are processed. The inbox setup
Inbox configuration is primarily managed through your Microsoft connector settings. When you add a Microsoft connector, you can select which mailboxes to monitor and configure how emails are processed.Key inbox settings
Folder selection
Choose which email folders Go Autonomous should monitor within each inbox. By default, the inbox monitors the primary folder, but you can configure it to watch specific subfolders for different workflows.Area routing
Map inboxes to specific areas to automatically route incoming requests to the right team:- Each inbox can be assigned to one or more areas.
- Requests from mapped inboxes inherit the area assignment automatically.
- This works in combination with user groups to control visibility.
Intent mapping
Define which intents are associated with each inbox. This helps Go Autonomous:- Apply the correct AI extraction model based on the type of requests an inbox typically receives.
- Route requests to the appropriate workflow in Pulse.
- Pre-configure field settings for the expected request types.
Status tagging
Configure how Go Autonomous tags the status of emails in your inbox. When enabled, Go Autonomous can update the email status (e.g., read/unread, categories) in your email system to reflect processing state.Reply tracking
Enable reply tracking to let Go Autonomous monitor when customers respond to emails that have already been processed. This creates a link between the original request and any follow-up communication.Subscribe to inbox updates
Go Autonomous can subscribe to real-time notifications from your email provider so that new emails are processed as soon as they arrive, rather than waiting for periodic polling.Managing inbox folders
Organize your inbox by creating folders that map to different types of requests or processing stages. Folders can be used to:- Separate different request types within a single inbox.
- Create staging areas for requests at different processing stages.
- Archive processed requests.
What’s next
- Set up connectors to connect your email systems.
- Configure areas to define routing rules.
- Manage users to control who sees which inbox.
